Ludlow topcoat in wool-cashmere with Thinsulate®

Ludlow topcoat in wool-cashmere with Thinsulate® is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very soft This composition for the outer layer is 95% wool and 5% cashmere. This is what I was expecting for the price; for a top coat of this size, 5% cashmere is quite a lot of cashmere compared to items like a thin sweater. Furthermore, wool is going to be more durable, which is what a top coat should be. With just that little bit of cashmere, this coat is very soft, and the way it waves when there is wind makes it look premium. I got the rustic palm color as I was planning to use this for semi-casual setting, and to not look like 98% of the people on the street during Manhattan's winter. It is a very dark green and is nothing too fancy to worry about. Finally, the construction feels premium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece for the distinguished gentleman The material of this topcoat is extremely soft and warm. Although I live in Texas, it can get cold and windy during the December and January months, and this helps cut the windchill to something bearable when outside. The fit for me is true to size, meaning my suit size is a 38R and the 38R for this topcoat fits well as a top layer. It gives room for a suit or chunky sweater, yet is still trim enough in the waist to look tailored and not boxy. You can wear this without a suit/sweater/layer, but there will be some space in the chest but waist is still nicely suppressed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Coat Coat is very nice and stylish but runs small--especially if worn over a suit so size up. Definitely gotten compliments on it. Only issue is two of the buttons are already very loose so need to get them sewed on--definitly shouldn't be happening with a coat that is a few weeks olds.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good style and fit but quality concerns The coat fits well and keeps me warm. However after wearing for less than a month, two of the three main buttons popped off, within a week of each other. Fortunately I noticed when this happened and was able to recover the buttons. Hopefully this is not a sign of quality issues to come.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pocket ripped after after minimal use I love the style of the jacket, but the quality is extremely poor. I bought this within the past year, and after minimal use the pocket tore when trying to put gloves into it. Even worse, the tear was not along the stitching, but the fabric itself. When they say thin, they mean it. I regret spending so much money on such a cheap product. The look is nice, but it's not worth the money. AVOID at all costs!
