I ordered three of these in 32x30, two navy and one graphite. One of the blue chinos is over an inch longer than the other, and the graphite is somewhere in between.
Three pants in the exact same size, and three different lengths! Now I have to find a tailor. Ugh.

I've been looking for a pair of chinos for a while and I'd always had good luck with J. Crew products. One of the recent sales dropped the price on these to a point I was happy with. Firstly the fit is great; I'm a pretty active guy (i.e. I have muscular thighs) so it's been difficult to find slim pants that aren't constrictive. They also have a nice taper without seeming too skinny. The fabric is a good mid-weight twill that wears nicely. Overall, great pants. I highly recommend these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Robert No Tailor Required
I had been looking for a pair of pants that was slim but not skinny, loose but not baggy, and, most importantly, well fitting. Based on previous searches and purchases, I had believed that nothing of the kind existed. However, leave it to J. Crew to create the perfect pant. The pant fulfilled everything I was looking for and, upon first try-on, fit perfectly. From now on, I'm literally not going to buy any other type of pant.

Rated 1 out of 5 by blnnak Reminds me of MC Hammer pants
First time ordering pants with JC. I typically wear RL 36x38 classic fit, which tends to be slim and well fitting - I'm 6'6", 210lbs, athletic body. Anyhow, received these (36x37.5 unhemmed) and immediately put in cold wash with very low dry for 10 mins and then hung dry. Took them to local tailor and had them hemmed. Picked up today and tried on in front of wife, to which she commented on how wide the pant is in the hips and rear, yet they are very slim and stylish from the knee down. I then looked in the mirror and immediately had thoughts of MC Hammer crossed with Payne Stewart. My tailor even ironed the pants (w/o asking) and they still look WIDE. Other than the wide thigh and butt area the pants appear to be very good quality. JCrew - I would really appreciate some feedback / help on this issue because I'm not sure I can wear these pants to work without expecting some snickering.

Everything is great in the fit, but the front rise and back yoke are sort of high/long. I'm surprised they're not cut to ride lower on the hips.
