within the last few years, I've noticed that the overall fit for men's clothing has grown. I wear a slim small and this shirt fits like a normal small. I also own every pair of 484 Slim jeans and I just tried to get new ones and the fit has changed.
not very happy as I always knew that your product would fit me with no concerns. now I have to find another brand that can be my "go to" brand.

“First off, I'm 6'1" tall and weigh 166 lbs.
Looks great tucked or untucked. Very comfortable. I would have liked the material to have been a little heavier, but then it probably wouldn't have been so comfortable or easy to put on and off.
Looks to be about enough room in the arms for an upper arm circumference of about 14" or maybe 15" maximum, if that helps.
I tried J.Crew''s normal sized polos, and they were too baggy overall, but this slim fit works great on me.
The navy looks great but the red is too strange looking for me, so I sent back the red.
I also bought one in the vintage sage color, which I'm not thrilled with; I think it makes me look old--but then, I am 62--I think because it makes old-guy skin look greenish or something. LOL. I'm keeping it, anyway.
I wish it came in a forest green or an olive green and a more traditional red or maroon. More darker colors, J.Crew!

The Slim Broken-in Polo is the best polo I have ever worn. The light weight broken material is so comfortable, not stiff and itchy like some polos. The slim fit is perfect if u are tall and average to thin weight and don't want shirt that looks baggy on u but isn't skin tight . I am 6'1" 180 lbs. and the large slim fits me perfect.

This is not a unique issue with the J Crew Slim shirts from the last few seasons. I have several of these polos from 2013 or so and they still fit perfectly after tons of wear and washes. I have had only ONE of these shirts not get returned upon arrival since then, and that is only because it was washed by mistake. I'm 5'9" and a muscular 160. Not exactly a waif, and even still the slim small has suddenly become massive on me. The quality control for these clothes has really dropped as well. The one that I had to keep after the inadvertent wash? That one wash (cold, tumble dried low) resulted in busted seams and a appearance of a ten year old hand me down. And I still looked like i was wearing a large. I wouldn't buy this again without seeing it in person at the store.

I purchased online, thinking it would be similar to two polos with very similar descriptions I found in the store and loved. I was headed on vacation too so I was in a rush! Big mistake, I was definitely wrong in leaping to assumptions. The material is very thin, it looks almost baggy in the way it fits and the material feels like a jersey blend. Not the best quality I've ever purchased from Jcrew, as it is my favorite retailer.
