Rated 3 out of 5 by Andrew Stylists missed the mark with this Henley
I'm not one to criticize a JCrew product given that the styling and quality, in my view, is always top notch. In this case, however, the stylist missed the mark on the overall intent of this casual shirt. This should be worn tucked out over a tee shirt. Easy to achieve a layered look by adding on jacket, hoodie, etc.
Upsides: great quality, red looks even better, marled effect gives it season versatility.
Downside: shirt is way too long. As a result, it looks sloppy and shapeless.
Recommendation: shorten it by two inches, include a "V" like seam on each side to showcase that it's intended to be worn untucked.
I know I've given way too much thought to a Henley tee. However, I trust that the above comments will be taken into considerations for future iterations of this classic shirt. In the meantime and to my chagrin, I'm returning the one I just purchased online.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Steve Great feel, iffy construction
Heather Barn (red), isn't as vibrant as in the picture, but I've come to accept that aspect of shopping online. The color is actually more of a maroon or barn red. Probably why it's called Heather Barn.
I'm 5'8, around 165 and the regular fits well and feels even better, but the construction leaves me wanting. I received this about 2 weeks ago (no complaints with J. Crew's shipping speed), and there were loose strings on bottom hem and the bottom button was a smidge loose. After one wear, the seam on the right sleeve was becoming undone and the middle button hole was producing loose string like it was a magicians hat. I'll keep it because the material is very nice, and it doesn't seem to be disintegrating anymore. I would recommend not machine drying this, since the buttons are metal and the cloth may lose its comfortable texture.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NYCer Somewhat disappointed
When I received the henley it was in factory packaging and to my surprise I was disappointed due to the fact that the lower right side stitching on the henley was coming apart about 2-4 inches along the seam. I had to sew it together (which I'm horrible at).
Luckily I bought it on sale w/ a discount I would have been a bit more annoyed and would have complained more if I paid full retail for the shirt. Overall its comfortable and I like it. There needs to a bit more quality control at the factory end before packaging items to get shipped out to customers in this case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Garamond Great fit, awesome fabric
Looks great, feels comfortable (not too tight, not too loose), and the marled fabric looks terrific.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rivka Very nice material
Ok, so it's a normal henley but the color and fabric is what makes it look good. The marled gray color and slub texture look great. Since it's a 'normal' henley, the fit is slim enough to be an under layer so if you need it looser you may want to go up a size. We will probably dry this one flat so as not to shrink it as it's a perfect fit before washing.
