Slim Secret Wash shirt in end-on-end cotton

Rated 4 out of 5 by Fantastic, but sleeves long I really like the texture of end-on-end shirts and purchased this one in the "faded spruce", which, true to its name is a pale blue-green color. Like my other washed shirts, it is soft, classic and high quality. Unfortunately, like most of JCrew's shirts these days, the sleeves are *way* too long. By which I mean 2 or 3 inches. I am 5'10 with normal proportions, a textbook example of "medium" and all my Crew button shirts are in medium. The sleeves on this go past my knuckles and halfway down my fingers. This is true of the Ludlow, TMason and non-iron dress shirts I've purchased recently as well. I roll up my sleeves in summer and this isn't a dress shirt, so I still get use out of it, but I really hope they fix this problem soon - I know from reading the reviews I'm not the only one to have said so. Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheap fabric and details are not the same These shirts are no longer a nice quality soft end-on-end fabric. They don't even feel like a 2-ply cotton. It feels like a shirt you'd get from G or ON. Next, the shirt has an ugly white cheap see-through oxford fabric that is behind the buttons and when the top 2 buttons are unbuttoned, it's such an ugly look. I compared it to my old one from last year and it's completely different! Also the shirt has a seam on the back of the neck (the old one didn't). Another thing is on the side slits on the bottom of both sides, the old one had a nice curved yolk with a soft fabric. Now it has that cheap white materiel sewn on in a rectangle, and it's not even stitched well! Another thing, the pockets are now ROUNDED! It looked weird with a tie... but that's just a detail. Overall, I've noticed J.Crew shirts are getting cheaper, from fabrics, to stitching, to execution. They're losing me as a customer pretty quickly, and I'm quite okay with that. Maybe I'll try you guys again in a few years. May 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good casual shirt Got it for my brother, he loves it. Material is high-quality but even the slim fit is a little baggy for a 32 waist. A little excess material if you try to tuck it in. Looks fine untucked though. September 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Spring Item A fantastic color to add to any casual dress shirt collection. It looks good with virtually anything, and the end-on-end cotton is a nice fabric. It did seem to run a tad large compared with other J.Crew slim fit shirts. Overall, I would definitely recommend it. Already got lots of compliments. May 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Color This item in Montclair Navy looks awesome - a rich shade that looks great with any khaki pants or jeans. Button down collar and two-ply quality ftw. May 31, 2014
