Rated 3 out of 5 by AMF69 Great shoes but...
These shoes are really comfortable and didn't take long to break in but it seems as if certain details were skimped on. After six months the stitching on the inner lining is starting to come off and the lining is no longer flush along the heel; the exterior stitching is also coming apart and the shoe laces are fraying. It might seem trivial, but these are pretty expensive shoes...

Rated 2 out of 5 by Shoes Ludlow Plain-Toe Bluchers
I purchased these Ludlow Plain-Toe Bluchers because I already owned an earlier version in black, which I really like. This pair is nowhere close to being as comfortable. The bottom of the shoe is very stylish but is not holding up to the occasional use I wanted them for. After the first day I wore these shoes they looked like they had been worn more often than the black pair I referred to above. I have had the black pair for a few years now. Also, when you are walking in the brown shoes any little piece of gravel you happen to step on sticks into the bottom of the shoe. Not only is this ruining the bottom of the shoe but then you have to listen to a clicking sound as a result until you can remove the debris. I work on a college campus so it is not like I am walking around on a trail or something. For the amount of money I spend at Jcrew and the price I paid for these shoes I am extremely disappointed. If the shoes hadn't looked so worn after the first day I would have returned them.

Color in darker brown is perfect, fit a little roomy so it's perfect for my wide feet. Holding up great after months of use. I keep waiting for a sale to buy another pair and stock up.

Bloody expensive shoes, but oh so nice and ought to become my workhorse office shoe. Mand hoping the last pair I ever need to buy. Expecting to retire before they wear out.
