Product Details
Founded in Massachusetts by Charles H. Alden in 1884, the Alden Shoe Company is now in its fourth generation and is the oldest shoe- and boot-maker in New England. Designed just for us, these handsome limited-edition bluchers are handcrafted in the U.S. using genuine Horween No. 8 shell cordovan leather. (Prized for its fine lustre and extraordinary durability, this fine leather requires more traditional—and time-consuming—production methods, but the result is a far superior shoe.) Finished with an antiqued pre-stitched reverse welt and a plantation crepe sole. If properly cared for, these shoes will last for generations (to make sure they do, you can always send them back to Alden for resoling). When cleaning, apply a cordovan-specific No. 8 wax. Online only.
