Never before have I laid my eyes on such a beautiful piece of clothing item, at first glance it seems like any other coat, however it is more than that. It is love, it is life, it is... a cashmere peacoat. I knew I had to buy it, so I sold my wife, kids, and dog in order to afford it.

An elegant, exquisitely soft, handsome coat that I wear once in a while when I want to feel my best. I have the standard peacoat for everyday and this great coat for special occasions.

This is my all time favorite J.Crew piece. The cashmere is incredibly soft and the overall quality and design make me look and feel like an emperor. Constant compliments whenever I wear this out. Be sure to ask for gift cards from friends and family, the student discount, and another mortgage before purchasing. It is worth it.

This is truly a beautiful coat. The double sided cashmere is exceptional, the tailoring impeccable, and the fit comfortable. I've bought and returned this coat twice earlier being unable to decide whether it was worth keeping. I've thought it a little flashy, what with the epaulettes, the reinforcing back belt, and the silver buttons. It gives one the feel of a Grand Marshall in Napoleon's army. But I've come to accept its flash and concluded that this is one of J Crew's exceptional creations.
The coat runs a little large and is not form hugging. But that is okay because it is comfortable for layering and driving. The slash pockets are also wonderful for tucking one's hands in when walking in the cold. Never understood the new fad with flap pockets!
What I want from J Crew is an unstructured worker's coat in double faced cashmere in the Wallace & Barnes style: something more minimalist and faux proletariat with a French twist.

This coat is super soft, slick and refined - both snug and sharp. I wondered if the sheer exuberance of the detail, abundance of pewter buttons and general sartorial swagger would be, well, just a bit much. But it isn't. It's just the most immensely cool yet practical pea coat on the planet.
