Established in 1859 by Henry W. Carter in Lebanon, New Hampshire, H.W. Carter & Sons was one of America's first denim workwear manufacturers. By 1890, the company had become synonymous with tough and reliable clothing. That can-do spirit lives on with this hard-wearing buckle-back trouser, uniquely constructed in sturdy 10.75-ounce selvedge duck canvas (woven on antique looms) from North Carolina's Cone Mills. Duck canvas is similar in weight and feel to denim but breathes a bit better. Cut with a slim-straight fit, its cinch-back design features a usable buckle for a unique fit and appearance. Accented with back double-welt pockets and a button-fly closure, it's finished off with a vintage Carters Overalls label.
