Established in 1859 by Henry W. Carter in Lebanon, New Hampshire, H.W. Carter & Sons was one of America's first denim workwear manufacturers. By 1890, the company had become synonymous with tough and reliable clothing. Constructed in the USA using lightweight 10.5-ounce (the weight of a square yard of the fabric) Cone Mills White Oak duck canvas (one of the best mills in America) and finished with copper and brass hardware. This is the way jeans are supposed to be done.
