I bought this in my size-chart size of large instead of sizing down to a medium (as I sometimes do with J. Crew shirts). The fit is generous without looking sloppy, and it is extremely comfortable. I've so far worn it untucked with khakis, and I don't mind the tail length that the size L gives me--in fact, it makes it even more comfortable and imparts a kind of vintage look that looks relaxed but also sharp. A great summertime casual shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jriver18 As comfortable as a tee!
I haven't had it for long but I already love wearing my chambray popover. I have 2 other J.Crew popovers as well and I highly recommend them. I'm perfectly comfortable in a regular button-up, but popovers have a great casual feel to them and are perfect for when you want something different.
I'm 6'4" and ordered a large in regular sizing instead of tall and I find that the length is perfect. It's not long enough for me to tuck into my pants, but I think popovers look best untucked anyway. They also require a bit of maneuvering to get into; they're a bit like tee shirts minus the stretch, but once you've got it on it's really comfortable.

Cut a little too tight around the pecs. The chambray is a tad inferior to the Ludlow shirts in chambray. But other than that, a wonderful addition to collection!

This is one of the most comfortable shirts I own. As soft as a t-shirt, but dressier. I get a lot of compliments every time I wear it. Highly recommend. I want another one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Adam Nice, but awkward fit!
I'm 5'7" tall with an athletic build and broad shoulders. I bought this shirt in size Medium. I find that the top half fits a little tight and the bottom half rather loose and long. With a little adjustment, the shirt does look nice on. I'll eventually have it tapered.
