Rated 1 out of 5 by SHYoo Absolutely unexpected product of Jcrew
I received this item yesterday, and I was really disappointed for this.
First of all, design point of veiw, this is too much different item comparing with the picture on website. This does not look denim shirt, just look as thick linen shirt.
Second, the color point of veiw, this also too much different and it looks used one.
Looks very old used shirt.
Finally, quality point of view, several seam opens are showed on this item.
Very bad finishing of sewing at 4~5 point I found.
I have been purchasing a lot of items from this Jcrew and Jcrew factory, but this item is terrible thing I have never seen from Jcrew.
I strongly disagree, if people want to buy this with believing of picture on the website.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Steverino 3 basket weave shirts made it into my basket
Bought 3 of these indigo Bird's Eye shirts so I have 2 in back up if anything ever happens to one of them. The quality is great and they wash up and fade just how you'd want real indigo to fade. No this isn't denim and it states it's Bird's eye fabric. This is like a light Japanese basket weave fabric that would cost double elsewhere. This shirt is perfect.

The image online looks awesome! But when I received the shirt, it looks much more like a chunky cotton shirt. There is no seam on the top of the chest pocket, which the online image appears to have. This leads to a very sloppy look with the pocket just kind of hanging out.
The material looks nothing like denim, or the material pictured online. It has actually begun to fray on the shoulder seam as well as on the back of the shirt across the waist, all of this after just one washing. Kind of like a cotton ball texture, this fraying is just dangling and when I pull on it, it just gets worse, and it's not like a stray thread that you can just cut off.
Total bummer! Not sure why I keep buying these shirts, as the quality seems to be gradually dropping.
