For every well-suited guy who has ever stepped on a plane, boarded a train or had a client dinner go into overtime, we've got a solution for those inevitable wrinkles: our Ludlow jacket (a staple of our collection since 2008) in a specially woven three-ply wool from Italy's renowned Lanificio di Tollegno mill. The yarns are highly twisted, giving them an elasticity that resists rumpling, creasing and the unsightly effects of flying coach. Extra interior pockets give you a handy place to stow your passport, boarding pass and anything else you might need on your travels. Find out how to get the perfect fit.

Ludlow Traveler suit jacket in Italian wool

Rated 5 out of 5 by Love Love Love I love this suit. It's only half-lined, so it isn't as heavy as wool--it breathes more like linen--while still looking as good as a wool suit. The navy is a fantastic color too. I walked into a J.Crew store looking for this suit and never felt more confident about a purchase than after I tried it on. I travel a lot, so the fact that it wouldn't wrinkle seemed like a huge plus and I can attest that I can pull it out of a suitcase looking just as good as when I pull it out of the dry-cleaning bag. This is easily my favorite J.Crew suit that I own and I love the material and style of it more than the others I've seen in store. May 17, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Size Alert When you give a suit cut a name (e.g. Ludlow) your customers expect that each of the suits with that name will fit the same. This suit is cut looser and there was no warning about this in the description. I returned it because I didn't want a looser fitting suit. Nice fabric! June 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by New name; Classic fabric This type of "crepe" (also probably the wrong name) fabric has been around many years in fine Italian suits. Even though it is wool, it is not too warm, so it is an all-season product, and true to how J.Crew describes it: It literally is impossible to wrinkle, making it indeed the perfect "travel suit". I bought this specifically for travel. I am able to take this as my "base layer" for business travel (one suit, a pair of jeans and several shirts and you have multipule outfits yet everything fits in the overhead), and it is ideal. No complaints. I prefered the navy as it is nearly impossible to see something tht you might have spilled on it the night before. May 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Travler Suit The material from the new Travler suit is nice, can actually see the weaving of material. The feel is soft and really does feel like a good all year round suit. I ordered a 39r which was a bit long on me as I am a short, and short person, ha! I was in a local J. Crew store that had a lot of different Ludlow suits so I was able to feel the fabric of quite a few materials, and I must say that the material of this suit can't be beat. May 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great suit, colors off online I own a navy traveler suit, and it's my favorite in my arsenal. It truly is difficult to wrinkle, which is nice, given the amount of traveling I do. The jacket was a bit roomier than other Ludlow fits, but a little tailoring did the trick. My only complaint is that the colors online are much lighter than they appear in-person; the navy is a true dark blue (which is fine), but the grays are WAY darker (the "light charcoal" in reality looks like the "windsor gray," and the "windsor gray" is a true dark charcoal tone). As far as I know, the super light gray in the picture does not exist. All in all, if you're looking for a solid suit for the price, especially if it's your first, the traveler is a great bet.
