Product Details

Cut in our slimmest fit, these pants are made from denim from Kaihara (one of Japan's oldest and most renowned denim mills) and feature a wash developed at Wonderland Concepts in Henderson, Kentucky. This one is made to look like a rigid pair of jeans after a few years of wear, which is great if you aren't into the whole "breaking in denim" thing. Go behind the design of our denim washes.

484 jean in Guilford wash

484 jean in Guilford wash is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from The 484: Skinny in the wrong places The quality of the J.Crew 484 denim rivals some of my other more expensive denim. Unfortunately, the fit just doesn't really work for me... Around my quads the jeans is very tight and around my ankles the jeans appear too big. They also do not sit well on my waist, I think I'd like them to sit just a little higher. They also traded the button fly for a zipper... I prefer a button fly, but that is a pretty personal preference. I love the color of the wash and this fit might work for you... I'd highly recommend visiting a store to try them on.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but sizing issues The jeans are ok; they are a little looser than previous pairs I have purchased. Thought I liked them more at first, but am realizing I probably won't wear them very often. Wish J Crew would go back to the old 484 sizing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sizing Frustrations I have three pair of older 484s in various washes, and, despite the iffy reviews on the new 484 cut/washes, purchased a pair of Cheshire and the selvedge. The new cuts, while different (I went one size bigger in the waist based on the reviews), are great - they fit a wee bit differently that the older ones, but still great. Unfortunately, I have finally experienced the inconsistency that other reviewers of the new 484 have expressed. My weight/shape haven't changed in three months - still athletic, soccer build (on the shorter side, with bigger thighs and "soccer bum"), but something is off. Like the other two washes, there is an odd "bubble" waist, which a belt takes care of, but I am not wholly sure what happened to the seat. It's unnaturally cut, as if it tapers in along the hip and across your bum, where the tightness is most noticed. It isn't a slight tight, but a huge tight. The leg and length are perfect. It seems inconsistent with past J Crew quality, and the jeans returned.
