The lather of this strap is so paper-thin that it's obvious to anyone who glances at your wrist, and this makes it look bad.
This isn't J. Crew's fault necessarily. This is a nato-style watch strap (meaning one-piece, pass-through design), and all nato-style straps are super thin. This works fine for nylon, but not so much for leather.
The solution for me was to buy a zulu-style strap from another vendor. Zulu-style straps slip onto the watch the same way nato-style straps do, but they are much thicker. If you're considering this watch band, first take a look on Amazon or another vendor for 18mm zulu-style leather straps. I think you'll find those options to look much more attractive.

Feels like fake leather that's on a halloween costume.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Sandman48 It fits my watch!
That's the good news. I read other reviews before purchasing this strap that this item may not be up to our expectations for JCREW. I would agree with those reviews. The leather is very thin and feels and looks a little cheap. I'm not returning it, I like the way it looks with my watch, but I can't recommend purchasing this one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by chrisM Looks nice, but...
quality is a bit lacking. Leather is particularly thin and soft which makes for a flimsy watch strap, although that might be by design for a slip-through type watch strap. I've had this now for about a month and I wear it about 3x a week- I feel as though I might just rip it if i'm not careful enough. Definitely does not feel as durable as the nylon watch straps. We'll see..

very thin and looks nice in the picture but not very sturdy and looks closer to plastic in person.
