I am obsessed with how the Ludlow shirts look on my boyfriend and have bought him tons, but have never wanted to spring for the much pricier Thomas Mason fabric. However, after purchasing two of the regular J.Crew brand Ludlow shirts in white--both of which were incredibly sheer and required long sleeve undershirts (because short sleeve undershirts showed through and looked ridiculous)--I decided to splurge on the TM. Although the TM was noticeably more substantial and my bf ended up keeping it, it was still slightly see through. Still, happy with the fit as usual.

The cuffs/sleeve openings are comically large and the overall quality of the shirt is less than what I would expect for this price tag. At this same price point, you can purchase a Thomas Mason shirt from a Richmond, VA shirt shop that is of much higher quality in both fit, feel, and fabric. Won't be buying Thomas Mason from J Crew unless they can match that sort of quality.

Definitely worth the difference in price from the regular ludlow shirt. The mother of pearl buttons alone are worth it! Great fit and details will separate you from everyone else's shirt.

Awesome shirt but a tad pricey. I only wish J. Crew would have gone with a spread collar over the point. Otherwise, excellent product.

After many months of eyeing the blue oxford shirt I made the purchase 2 months ago. The shirt is very shiny and looks like something you would wear to a nightclub in the late 90's, it does not have the classic look and feel of oxford you may expect from J Crew. I have yet to wear the shirt to work and am unsure if I will.
