the buttons are tiny. way too small for a shirt this weight. if you are a little bulky in the chest or waist, you're going to pop some buttons. hopefully, you can live with that.
that said, the shirt is great. straight foarward workshirt styling, two pockets, no flaps, with a pen pocket on one side. triple stitching in many places (not the whole thing, single and double stitching elsewhere). fits well, true to sizing with two darts on the back. the fabric is heavy enough to actually function as a work shirt, if you are into that, but nice enough for going out. its also kind of warm, so keep that in mind; its almost a very light jacket. it softens with use and it is reasonably comfortable. haven't washed it yet, but a cool hand wash with woolite and a hang dry is as far as it'll go. love the hidden buttons on the collar.
buttons aside, i like the shirt very much. does the job with a classic look that doesn't try too hard. if you can get in on sale, a very worth purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Andrew Great for layering in lieu of jean jacket
This is a substantial piece of clothing that does double duty as both shirt and jacket when layered. Looks great with a Henley t-shirt underneath and a vest over it. Perfect for fall here in Chicago and easy in the spring in lieu of a bulky jean jacket. I especially like the hidden button collar that allows you to dress up the shirt with a tweed jacket, for example. I can tell this shirt will get a lot of traction and will only get better in time. Great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dabkr stiff
its stiff and raw and obviously needs to be softend over time and wear (unless your one of those denim 'geeks' who never washes their selvedge denim for what reason? who knows) But the quality is obvious if you compare this shirt to say-GAPs higher priced 1969 denim. I have a few Italian denim shirts from yoox that were hand tailored and I would say this shirt falls slightly below that but above everything else I've seen in the US from BR, GAP, Zara, even some RL polo were pretty cheap feeling. So-it feel like a tough selvedge denim. The stitching is a style preference. Not my favorite but I like the ochre stitching and I am sick of snap button closures and this has real buttons. Is it worth $138? hmmm. On a good day at the races yes. Otherwise, I'd say its a $99 shirt that will last many many years, even if you wash it and don't put it in the freezer like the Levi[?] jeans guy says he does instead of washing his selvedge jeans

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cromagnon Best workwear style denim shirt ever
This is THE best denim shirt ever - I've been showing it off to my friends - from the workwear detailing, the perfect fit, the re-enforced black buttons. Love it so much - I bought two!

Rated 4 out of 5 by taigh Best Quality Denim Shirt you'll buy
I picked this up in-store and was glad to be able to try it on. Slim fit is slightly tight across the shoulders for me but has eased since wearing it. I tried on the XL which was better in the shoulders and torso (more like a classic relaxed fit) but the sleeves were a good 1-1/2" too long so the L was the correct fit, but it took several sessions comparing the L to the XL to be convinced. Anyway - happy w/ the shirt. The Indigo is a very rich colour and the yellow stitching pops. The shirt has a utility, but it so well detailed and tailored that it looks pretty sharp w/ a blazer and decent pants. Very happy w/ this purchase - 4/5 because I wish there was a non-slim fit but still, awesome shirt! (It better be for this price!).
