I am compelled to write a review on this suit to offset another review which was negative, misleading, and not based on a relevant argument. I tried this suit on in stores and WOW, the appearance of the fabric is rich and elegant. The fit is a true Ludlow fit, which is always perfect. I didn't buy it yet but I plan to. I have a friend who owns it and absolutely loves it. If you've got the need to tweed this winter, this suit is for you.

This coat is perfect in every way. From the cut, the style, and the fit, I couldn't have asked for a better jacket.

Let me turn your geography lesson into a grammatical lesson. When a region is not capitalized (i.e. donegal) it refers to the type of product, not the actual location of manufacture. The tweed is "donegal," but the suit, my smug friend, is all English.
I just bought this suit for a wedding this weekend and could not be more thrilled with the texture, quality, color, and cut. I look forward to wearing it all winter long!

This suit jacket should be in every modern gentleman's closet during the colder months. I'd definitely recommend getting the pants with the jacket; the complete suit makes you look dapper instantly without putting in too much effort. Just pick a shirt in any color and you're good to go. Add a wool tie with a pocket square and you'll look as if you just stepped out of a GQ shoot.
It is made in light grey tweed so don't expect to be able to pull it off with dark jeans. Lighter shades of corduroy pants match well with it. I usually wear it with brown/black wingtips, but white sneakers look good too if you want to dress it down.
With a sweater and a scarf underneath, the jacket kept me warm even when the temperatures hit below 0C/32F. After wearing it more than 40 times and featuring it on my blog in three posts, I can tell that both the fabric quality and the stitching are top notch. I have dry-cleaned it only once and it still looks like new. Expect it to last a good number of years.

I think you'll find that Donegal is in Ireland. Thus this tweed is Irish not English.
