Rated 1 out of 5 by Quality is Just Not There I'm fairly tall (6'4) so J Crew is pretty much the only place I can buy the style of clothes I like at a reasonable retail rate. That being said, as much as I love the style of the Cashmere sweaters, I could not recommend them due to the poor quality. The pilling is definitely a problem. I've been getting pilling within 1-3 wears, which is really absurd. The problem is that Jcrew is likely using cheaper, shorter fibers which results in the ends coming loose faster and more frequently. It wasn't always like this. I hope Jcrew returns its focus on quality rather than quantity. I'll pay more for a sweater that lasts longer and retains its value. May 28, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by the WORST quality cashmere ever DO NOT waste money on these sweaters.....the quality is a grade below awful...sweater starts pilling the first day you wear it no matter how careful you are...the ones i bought both got small holes and tears after the first wearing...J,Crew has to start using another location/ mill to make these.... Rated 1 out of 5 by Great colors but poor quality. I have purchased several of the cashmere sweaters and I just find the quality to be lacking for the price. They started pilling badly after only a few wearings. Will not purchase again until a new supplier is found. May 19, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very poor quality. Agree with all the other reviews--extremely poor quality cashmere. You don't even get what you pay for, even at a sale price, because the pilling is so immediate. In general, it is very thin for a one-ply cashmere. I have other one-ply sweaters from other makers and they are much high quality. I would not purchase another cashmere sweater from J.Crew. In the past, the quality was better, but there are much better options out there. June 27, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not the same as before I bought my first cashmere sweaters from J.Crew more than ten years ago. In fact, a couple of them are still in such good condition, with next to no pilling whatsoever, that I continue to wear them to this day. However, since then, as other posters have mentioned, the quality of the cashmere has gone downhill and the sweaters show obvious signs of pilling after only a couple of wears. It's no longer worth buying them when better quality cashmere can often be found at discount sellers for even less than J. Crew's final-sale prices and fifty-percent discounts. July 3, 2014
