I wanted this shirt. Hands down. The thicker fabric that resists wrinkles was what I wanted in a dress shirt. The first time I ordered it, I opened the package and found the "Slim" label at the back of the collar. I thought, "uh-oh, my middle age girth isn't exactly going to work it's way into this." I tried it on and sure enough, it would have looked like a sausage casing would I have buttoned it up. I took it back to a J.Crew retail store and returned it. Later, looking the online catalog, I saw the traveler shirt once again. I scoured the listing and couldn't find the word "slim" anywhere in the description. I thought "awesome! There is a traveler's shirt for the portly gentleman" and ordered one. Woe be unto me as I opened the box. I yanked the bagged shirt out, and while I hoped it said "Ludlow", alas, it was a "slim". Sad face. I bought a regular white Ludlow shirt instead.

I love the new ludlow fit; at least, I feel like it is new. Not as tight as the older ludlow and a little longer sleeves. Not baggy at all, the fit is perfect. Long enough shirt so that it won't come undone. Shirt has a great feel to it. I own four of the ludlow traveler shirts (not slim). I wear a medium (5'11 170).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gary JCrews NEW Non-Iron (Travelers) White Dress Shirt
If you dress business casual or wear a suit to work, then a few white shirts are a wardrobe must...but...ironing is not my favorite past time, so I have stocked-up on Crews various "travelers/non-iron" white dress shirts, including the recent purchase of the newly introduced Ludlow....these are great shirts, just show them some respect by washing them in warm water and drying them in the non-iron or air cycle....they dry in a flash and need very little touch-up ironing, if any at all....the collar and cuffs are soft but sturdy in keeping there shape...just treat them well and they will last you a long time.
