Slim selvedge Japanese chambray utility shirt

Slim selvedge Japanese chambray utility shirt is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Darker than pics; excellent style/fit/quality This is an excellent chambray shirt, and the fit is excellent (i.e. sizing is accurate and the cut is good for a nice drape). I'm 6'2'' 210 lbs, and I generally fit in between a Regular Large and a Slim XL in JCREW sizing. I went with the Slim XL for this shirt, and have zero complaints. The style/fit/quality is typical jcrew excellence. The only con I can think of is that the pictures on JCREW's website tend to make the colors looks lighter than they actually are. This is typical of nearly ALL of JCREW's catalog pictures. To get a better idea of the real color, you have to click on the little color square which shows a real pic of the item, as opposed to the pictures with the models. i.e. the model pictures look much lighter than the color swatch/real item picture. If I had to throw out arbitrary numbers, from 0-10 (light-dark); the model pics show a 4 when the real life color is more of a 6.5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Japanese Chambray Utility Shirt This is one of my favorite shirts, and the second time I purchased it. The first one (now 3 years old) is actually still in great shape. I lost weight since purchasing the first one, and bought this one to replace it. This shirt is so versatile and gets frequent use. It feels both rugged and refined; it can look dressier with a sweater and nice shoes, or more casual with sneakers. There are lots of other shirts like this on the market (both less expensive and more expensive than J.Crew), but I still like this one best. It is the perfect color blue, and the buttons, stitching, and details all feel high quality. I'm 6'1" and ~180lbs., and chose the slim medium. The fit is great in the chest and sleeves. My only complaint is that the side vent comes up a bit too high, which makes the shirt feel short.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love Chambray Great shirt. Didn't notice the tabbed out collar feature until I took it home, so I just conceal it by buttoning it into the hidden buttons behind the collar and you can't even notice it. Great quality. The color is darker than the pictures (as usual with J.Crew), but I actually like the color in person better. Highly recommend for people into vintage work style.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great materials, poor "slim" fit The materials, details, and finish work of this shirt are excellent. But the fit is really poor. I tried an XS small "regular" fit in the store, and it was a loose (as expected). I figured, "No worries, I'll order a "slim" fit online and it should be cut tighter". It wasn't. The Slim is rather loose fitting and frumpy looking. I'll be returning it. Please work on your fits J. Crew!!!
