Product Details

Our 770 jeans are more narrow than our 1040 slim-straight but not as skinny as the 484 (our slimmest fit). These are cut from premium denim from North Carolina's famed Cone Denim mill (one of the oldest denim mills in the world, Cone's commitment to quality and innovation made it a favorite of working men a century ago and denimheads today). It's cut, sewn and finally garment-dyed in downtown LA for cool highs and lows of color at the seams.

770 jean in garment-dyed American denim is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Waist is one size larger I really wanted these to work for me. As the previous reviewer remarked, the waist is too large if you are used to the 770 chino fit. This means for me that I had to choose between having legs that fit comfortably and a waist that was huge or a waist that fit great but legs and hips I had to uncomfortably squeeze into (and walk around in, and sit down in etc). I wasn't satisfied either way by going with my normal size or going with a waist size down unfortunately. This may not be a deal breaker for all, but for me it certainly was.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from excellent, but waist is large I bought the navy twilight color, and everything about the pants was on point - style, comfort, and fit through the legs. However, the waist was larger than I expected, by at least one size I felt like. I initially thought I had gotten thinner, but I recently bought a pair of chinos from J. Crew in the same waist size and those fit me just fine. Likely just a simple QC issue. Overall it was not a big negative, since I can just cinch my belt tighter, but if I were you, I'd consider buying one in your regular size and one size smaller and then refunding the one that doesn't fit.
