The quality of this t-shirt is immediately noticeable: the fabric feels substantial without being heavy, with a smooth, soft finish that holds its shape after multiple washes. The fit is clean and modern—tailored through the chest and shoulders without being tight, and with a length that stays put whether you’re moving around or sitting. Seams lie flat, there’s no twisting or shrinking, and the collar keeps its structure instead of sagging. Overall, it feels like a premium basic you can wear on its own or under a jacket and still look put together.

I think that this shirt is actually more like a 4.5/5. The only reason I didn't go with 5 stars is because I think it's a little too pricey at $55, but if you can get it on sale or use some rewards, I think this shirt is super awesome. I do wish the sleeves were just a touch more fitted, but they don't flair out badly at all. The material is very soft, the collar is bound (which is the best way for a T-shirt collar to be), and the overall fit is very comfortable. Again, when these are on sale I'd definitely recommend stocking up on them.

I like the quality of the cotton—a bit heavier, soft—but maybe a little too baggy for my liking. I bought a medium. I chose this because my favorite tees are J.Crews heritage weight, but these are not the same. Might try a small next time.

This is like those T-shirts of old that many of us spend time hunting for in vintage clothing stores, but produced with a little extra heft and premium feel. Likely to be the nicest T in your closet or mine. Only issue is that the shirt is a touch long, like all J.Crew shirts seem to be.

Cut of shirt is boxy and wide in the torso. Fabric is heavy. Washes better (maintains its color) than typical J.Crew t-shirts.
