Cute Coat, T-Rex Arms I fell in love with this coat online. Absolute stunning green. I ordered it in my regular size, opened the package, and thought, “Wow, this might be the one.” Then I put it on. The arms were so short I checked to make sure I hadn’t accidentally ordered a child’s size. I’m only 5’7", but these sleeves stopped a good two inches above my wrists, as if the coat assumed I was part T-Rex. I went back online, read reviews saying to order a size up, and decided to give it another shot. The replacement took its sweet time getting to me, so when it finally arrived and hadn’t sold out, hope returned! I returned it and ordered a size up, fully expecting the sleeves to finally reach my hands. Instead, I got a coat that was slightly bigger everywhere except where it mattered. Somehow, even though the coat was roomier, the sleeves looked even shorter, like it was shrinking in the arms while expanding everywhere else. Not “roll them up and pretend it’s a look” short. Not “push them up and call it a fashion statement” short. I’m talking full-on “orangutan bundled up for winter” short. In addition, the color wasn’t as rich as the first one, it smelled faintly like dry cleaning, and the fabric arrived lumpy and wrinkled, as if it had already been on a weekend getaway before arriving on my doorstep with tags attached. I honestly would’ve kept the larger size if it had been like the original and the sleeves weren’t basically ¾ length…but sadly, back it goes. Beautiful coat. Terrible sleeves. Could be great if you receive a new one and have petite arms. For me, a tragic love story.

I have been searching for a jacket this length to wear to work. This jacket is perfect. I love the feel of the material and the length.

The fit of the jacket is good, fits like a glove except for the sleeve. I tried it on with a sweater and the sleeves were tight and uncomfortable, The description states 80% wool bit it DOES not feel like wool at all. The feel is very synthetic and the Ivory color is not what I expected

I bought the green coat but returned it as the sleeves were too short. The rest of the coat fit TTS. I'm 5'8 and I have several J Crew coats in my closet. This coat definitely has a shorter sleeve length. It's also a bit boxy.

Shoulders are too tight. I'm a swimmer so I have slightly larger shoulders, but not that big. I ordered my regular size (10) that was fine in a J Crew parka, even a bit loose. But in this jacket I'd want to try 12 or 14. I cannot wear 10 in reasonable comfort. The fabric is not meant for winter I think, which is what I bought it for. I would say it's strictly for autumn in New England. A bit lightweight for actually cold days, and not padded it seems. From the slim fit and lighter weight fabric, I'd say this is a decorative piece for autumn, not a practical piece for cold winter weather. I ordered 2 and will return both.
