Love the slim fit.
1 week agoLove the slim tailored fit. It is short, but I will wear it with tights and books or heels. It will be my fall and winter dress with a cardigan or jacket.

Poorly cut.
June 9, 2026I don’t know who thought the cut of this was OK in relation to the size, but it’s terrible. I know to size up in sheath dresses as I have a larger bust, but I couldn’t even zip this past my waist. Will be returning. Fit like it was at least two sizes too small.

My go-to dress
June 6, 2026This dress will be my go-to dress. I read all the comments, and it does run small, so I went up a size. Still a little snug, but I can wear it. It is class and perfect to dress up or down.

Cute, good quality dress but small in some places
June 2, 2026This is incredibly nice, quality and thoughtfully designed. I'm a big fan about the zipper having a longer piece of fabric to zip up easily with, and this is also very cute in general. Unfortunately, it does run a bit small in the chest, so if you're bigger chested I recommend sizing up. I'm not sure what's going on at J. Crew, but I've been noticing a lot of the shirts and dresses coming out these days have been incredibly small in the chest and I'm not a fan. I even sized up to my old size (12; i'm a 6 or 8 in dresses) after losing some weight so I could layer shirts underneath and it would be longer, and yet the chest still runs small.

A Classic for Years to Come
April 23, 2026A classic! I work in a semi-professional to professional-dress office. This dress will be on constant rotation for me. I am 5"6 with a slim build and will wear with a turtleneck and tights during the fall/winter and a cardigan sweater during the spring/ summer. With navy tights this is entirely work appropriate and not too short. Dress hit me just below midthigh. I love that the arm-opening are not so deep as to expose every inch of my chest area. Please please please keep offering this more modest and office appropriate style.
