Well Made. Great Length. Cap Sleeves A Weird Shape
September 18, 2019This dress fit me perfectly (size 12) and I almost loved it. However, the cap sleeves were almost like epaulets and there was a huge gap and slight flare at the arm holes. I took it to my dressmaker and even when she pinned it at the top of the shoulder to lessen the impact of the "epaulets", there was a flare at the front lower section of the armholes. She told me that a dart there would not look good. I am returning my dress because I don't want to be restricted to always wearing a jacket or topper with it. I find it interesting that none of the pictures show this characteristic which is most obvious from a front view.

PUMPKIN Orange NOT RED
September 14, 2019I loved this dress online and I have several other A-line, ponte dresses from J. Crew and they're among my favorite in my closet. The fabric in this dress is very nice and it's also nicely lined. The color, however, is NOT RED. It's more pumpkin orange. And, the fit in the top was rather large, much larger than in my similar-style J.Crew ponte dresses. I am unsure about whether I will keep it or return it.
