Lee® for J.Crew 101 Slim Rider jean in rinse wash

Product Details

Introduced in 1924 as a cowboy jean, the Lee 101 is an American classic. The pant that pioneered the zip fly—and the style worn by James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause—the 101 has evolved through the years but remains true to its workwear roots. Unearthed from the Lee archives in Kansas, the Slim Rider fit was created for a rodeo champ in the 1940s whose request for a tapered style resulted in the world's first slim-fit jean. Designed in collaboration with J.Crew, this pair is constructed in 12.75-ounce left-hand twill (a softer denim that has become a Lee signature) and is finished off with details pulled from the archives, including thread X bar-tacks at the back pockets, low-profile metal rivets and the unique spade-shape back pocket with Lee's lazy S stitch detail.
