Excellent dinner/holiday jacket for the holidays
1 week agoThe color is as shown in-person. In bright lights it's almost too green (think Leprechaun) but in a dinner setting not likely to be an issue. It's got great texture and quality to the velvet. The armholes are a bit low, wish it were higher for more ease of movement. I'm usually a 38S and didn't find it to fit small like some of the reviews. I even went to try in person and the 40S I was swimming in. For reference, I am 5'8" with a V-shape build.

Elegant, unique blazer but runs small
2 weeks agoThis Blackwatch shawl-collar blazer is such a welcome and elegant departure from the norm. I was thrilled to find a velvet blazer that was made with 100% cotton velvet instead of the horrid polyester and polyamide that is in such abundance these days. The colors are deep and rich and are just perfect. I am a thin female, 5'10", 114 pounds. I love men's blazers because they usually fit better. However, this blazer ran very small, especially sleeve length and shoulders. I ordered both the 34 and 36 and both were too small. I think I could have gotten away with a 36 L, but they don't offer that. Sadly, I had to return. This is one of those unique, classic items that you can treasure for a lifetime. I hope this helps.
