Limited-edition Engineered Garments X J.Crew relaxed twill utility shirt in plaid
Engineered Garments is recognizable for its distinct aesthetic that merges Japanese craftsmanship with vintage workwear, Ivy League classics and outdoor gear. Over the last 25 years, the brand has earned a devoted following (including our design team) for its unique designs, functional details and eclectic mix of fits and fabrics. For our new exclusive collaboration, we worked with Daiki and the Engineered Garments team on creating an original approach to the intersections of New York City and New England style. This utility shirt is made from vintage-inspired 7.96-ounce cotton twill that's durable and brushed for a softer texture. It also features drop sleeves for a relaxed fit and greater range of movement. This is a full-button shirt with the lower half hidden under the placket; you'll also find a buttoned throat latch, a reference to traditional workwear.

Overall, the shirt has a creative style and quality that many customers are excited to wear.

Great weight and color
February 19, 2025Well-made and fun. Excellent collaboration and high-quality. Some other brands skimp on their materials with collabs but not this one. Really enjoy the color and sizing. It's oversized, that's the point - I feel like if you know you know. Sizing down would lead to a weird fit in the chest for me, so stick with your normal size it's just a very relaxed fit! Recommend highly.

Love it
January 25, 2025Great shirt. Just like a Kimono. I’m not sure about these bad reviews as this is very well made and substantial. The size is how it should be, oversized. Love it.

Very BIG OVERSIZED SHIRT
January 25, 2025This shirt is HUGE!!!!!!!!! I believe it is a well crafted shirt nice weight and unique design, J. Crew needs to do better with product descriptions and providing accurate size chart for garments instead of a generic chart that they use for everything, which literally is providing inaccurate information. J. Crew described this shirt as “Relaxed” but I promise you this shirt is An OVERSIZED fit

Very different shirt
January 18, 2025I'm new to the Engineered Garments brand and because of J.CREW I now have 3 pieces that I really like. This shirt is BRIGHT, lol but the cut is very interesting. I like the sleeve cuff and the slit pockets. I'm looking forward to wearing it.

Bold design and color, but unusual proportions...
January 16, 2025I love the design and color of this shirt—it's a real standout. For reference, I’m 6’0” and 250 lbs, and I typically wear a L/XL depending on the fit. However, this shirt is extremely oversized. After reading the above review, I tried it on in-store and ended up buying a medium, which fit me perfectly. If you’re considering this shirt, I’d recommend buying the same size you’d choose for J.Crew’s Giant Fit shirts (if you own any). One thing to note: the sleeves run a bit short, and the cuffs are surprisingly wide, making for an odd fit overall. Despite these quirks, the shirt is unique and worth considering if you size down appropriately.
