Great quality and styling
February 2, 2021This corduroy shirt (ordered it in Fisherman Gray color) that I ordered for my husband is really nicely made, the fit is trim but not tight, the fabric is hefty but supple. The color is lovely in that it's dark but warm too, like a sable as opposed to a charcoal. The shirt is warm but because of the styling passes for not overly casual, and he loves it!

The Ideal Colder Weather Shirt
January 5, 2021Having grown up in the 70's, I have vague but fond memories of corduroy shirts. This brought it all back. The material is the ideal weight, not too heavy or thin, providing a nice top layer on mild days or underlayer on colder ones. Most of all, it is supremely comfortable. The fit is also ideal: I usually wear a large or large slim in J Crew but the medium fits perfectly, especially as it has some stretch. Cannot recommend this more highly!

DON’T GAIN WEIGHT!
December 15, 2020If you have gained weight since your last purchase at a particular size, in this instance Large Classic, be wary that you’re going to need to do cardio AND weights to fit just right into this particular shirt!! However, unbuttoned and layered this shirt rocks!!! It is NOT. A button down collar, thank the gods, which makes it casual chic to relaxed mountain man-ish. In a city like Los Angeles everyone thinks they’re trend setting, but this shirt can set you apart provided the color is right!! If you could care less about the ‘trend’ then this shirt is something you can literally live in!

Well made and looks fantastic
December 15, 2020Another winner of an overshirt from J. Crew. I also have their popular chamois overshirt and now wear both in heavy rotation in the colder months. The fit is excellent and the make quality is very impressive for the price. (At any price, really.) I hope J. Crew keeps on making these as standards every year. You can't go wrong. Side note: I am also glad J. Crew seems to be making the shirt collars just a little bit longer than they have for a number of years, at least on the overshirts like these.

Wearing this as I write
December 6, 2020When I read it ran large and was all cotton, I grabbed an XS for myself and a larger size for my husband. I’m all about corduroy as a winter pal, and it’s lightweight enough to wear into late summer/ early fall in a northern climate. Super comfortable. Current but timeless.
