Diagonal-stitch rope cotton shawl-collar cardigan sweater

Purchased this piece in April 2019. Writing this review about 3 months later. This piece looks and feels substantial. The color pairs well with many combinations of colors. I have a fairly athletic build; the sweater hugs the shoulders in all the right places (shoulders, biceps, wrists). For this reason it can be great for layering with your choice of dress shirt, casual button-up, or tee (as appropros of the weather conditions). Although the tag indicates it is made in China, the quality of the craftmanship and material is top shelf. This will not be 'falling apart' any time soon and should last for years.

Slight loose fit by design, fit looks great. Still wouldn't size down if you want to layer. I wish the dark blue dye was a little lighter and the color is pretty flat. Also, material is very strong, but as a trade off, it's not the softest.

I'm a big guy, but the XL hangs on me like a tent. Looks pretty good, notwithstanding. The pattern is elegant, and the collar is very wide.
