Washable merino wool mockneck sweater

Comfortable real merino wool that's soft but seems to be durable. Body fit is on, but sleeves are a tad short. Wore this under a denim shirt with boots, and it kicked it up a notch. Received compliments. Old school mocks still work.

I was beyond excited to see J Crew have mockneck sweater. However after receiving my order and trying it on, I was extremely disappointed. The fit around both the arms and the torso is extremely loose. The shoulder seams were about half inch too wide but the sleeves were short. It fit so badly that I thought I got a size medium instead of the XS. For reference, I wear a slim XS for the Secrete Wash shirts and those shirts fit perfect. I have no idea what happened to J Crew's sizing on this sweater but it is definitely completely off. I'd recommend going down a full size but if you do, the sleeve length might be too short. Really disappointed as I was pretty excited when I ordered it, I expected J Crew to do better.

How does one update the turtleneck and show off a little flair? Well, by purchasing this garment. My only reservation is how thin the wool is. Still 100% merino, so thanks for that. However, It is very hard to find the right undershirt to go with the Heather Oyster option. Cream is very in right now. The sweater looks great with all the fall colors and can easily be used in 3 of the 4 seasons. However, next time, charge $10 extra and make sure a garment is not see through. I mean I literally have to wear a grey fitted muscle tank (not a wife beater, the neck line shows through, forget a t-shirt, the sleeves will show through too.) If you plan on wearing this with a blazer they go for it with no hesitations. Small looks pretty fitted on me. Medium was sloppy. I wear a 40s or 42s blazer so I would say this runs large.
