Alden® for J.Crew cordovan penny loafers

Great pair of loafers. I love shell cordovan. I believe these are on the van last.

This was my first purchase from this brand. These are probably the most comfortable dress shoes that I have ever worn. Very pricey, but they are well constructed and gorgeous to look at. They look great dressed up and down. I will own these shoes for many years to come.

Alden is one of only a few shoe makers that still produce shoes on the same last (forms) as generations before. The result is consistent and predictable sizing. Runs slightly larger than traditional US shoes. Approx. 1/4 to 1/2 size larger. The Shell Cordovan leather is from the best producer in the world.... and yes, it is a USA manufacturer! I've owned many Alden shoes over the last 30 years. One pair has been resoled by Alden 3 times and still looks like new! Pricey, but if you just cashed in some crypto for big cash.... Buy them!
