Handknotted faux-raffia shoulder tote
We finished this versatile style with cool cutout details (so you can wear it as a top-handle or shoulder bag). Better yet, it's handknotted in a softer straw weave that's super-flexible—so it easily folds up when not in use.

August 24, 2024This is the perfect weekend bag for going to the market or just hanging out. It can hold my sweater umbrella small pocketbook and phone. A clip would be a good addition. It’s stylish and sturdy. I get many compliments.

August 20, 2024I like the size of this bag but for the price, a lining or inside pocket would be nice.

August 12, 2024Bought the first one as a gift…loved the size and construction so well that I was willing to wait until the end of July for mine. A simple design, well-executed, fun to carry. Holds plenty.

July 12, 2024I see there’s a waitlist for this bag. I got it earlier in the year, at full price (with my JCrew birthday gift card). The bag is pretty and stylish, but now that I’ve gone out with it three times (3), I can see how poorly it’s constructed. The raffia is coming undone around the straps at an alarming rate. I’m either going to have to find some natural thread and sew it in, or see if a shoemaker can fix it? My advice is, get this bag as an accessory. Do not use it as a tore. Like, an IPhone and keys are too much for it to handle. That’s all I’ve ever thrown in it, plus a few cards and my license. I have the JCrew market tote, and it’s a workhorse. I’m actually on my second after using the first one for years. This is not the same kind of bag. Super flimsy weave. (I tried adding two photos, but the link to add images isn’t letting me select pics.)

June 23, 2024While I love the raffia tote the quality isn’t great. I’ve used it for two days now on vacation and it’s already unraveling. The raffia on both sides of the handles is coming apart.
