MACHETE jumbo oval clip in classic tortoise

This clip is excellent. As someone with thick hair, often these kinds of products don't stay in place. The Jumbo Clip, however, does the job perfectly, and I don't have to constantly readjust it to keep all my hair in place. I highly recommend this product.

Upon receiving this clip, I popped it open to put in my hair and it came apart in my hands. I took it back to a JCrew store only to find out that this was a "Marketplace" product so they could not administer a return or replacement. I emailed Machete (maker of the clip) multiple times, and no response. Their website couldn't find the JCrew order number and there is no telephone number to call. Overall, this product is of poor quality and there is no recourse for returns. I feel that if JCrew is going to sell these through their website, they need to be able to return. I would strongly caution against buying from Machete.
