Scarf coat in drapey wool blend

Thrilled with this purchase. The wool is beautiful and the shape is on trend. The coat is heavy and warm, but not thick. Perfect for layering over winter sweaters. The style is a little oversized. I purchased my normal size small & I am pleased with the fit.

I don't typically write reviews, but this coat is exceptional. I purchased this coat in black for my daughter while we were shopping in-store. I loved it so much, I purchased the dark camel for myself. Some details on sizing - yes, the coat runs big. I have found that J. Crew sizing *can* generally run big. I'm a consistent size small in just about all designer clothing but have found with J. Crew that sometimes I'm a small, sometimes I'm an extra-small in shirts. I'm 5'5" 135lbs and I purchased an XXS in this coat. I found it fits nicely with a little room to spare. It has a bit of stretch in it, so even with a sweater on, it's not tight. If I wanted a more "oversized" look, I would have gone with an XS. My daughter is 5'3" 150lbs and is typically a size small or medium in shirts, depending on how she wants them to fit. She also purchased the XXS in this coat and it fits her nicely (albeit more snug), though I suspect she could have purchased the XS and still been fine. So, it is definitely a generous fit. If you want an oversized look, go with your normal J. Crew size and if you want a more fitted, yet roomy, fit, go one size down. If in-between sizes (like me), maybe go two sizes down. I do agree with another reviewer who said the scarf is tricky to maneuver, you do have to play with it. This coat is worth the price, even not on sale.

Elegant and beautiful! I feel stylish in this. I think the quality is great. It’s not lined but I don’t mind that. The fall and drape is nice. I bought the camel color and size medium which was perfect oversized fit

The cost is super cute and warm! Dont get me wrong it’s probably one of my best purchases but it fits really big. I’m not sure if that’s supposed to be the style or not but it definitely runs big! But the material is well worth it! I find myself not having to wear my big puffer this winter. If you layer properly with other wool / cashmere pieces you’ll stay super warm this winter
