September 11, 2023I bought three pairs of these in 2021, and wish I'd bought 10. Love the - lower rise - old school (99%) cotton feel - tapered leg - comfy, yet feminine shape. The CURRENT (2023) slim boyfriend jeans are awful. The waist (rise) is too high, the crotch hangs down low (looks terrible and chafes your legs), the shape is not at all feminine, and the purported softer/stretchier denim doesn't feel like denim. Please, JCREW, bring this version back!

So dissapointed they are distressed/ripped
January 7, 2022I love these jeans. The fit is absolutely perfect. However, the description does not state that these are ripped/distressed and the pictures don't show that detail either. I was really disappointed about that. These would be perfect if they were as advertised! Please re-make these without the ugly distressing!

Distressing not clearly shown
November 13, 2021These jeans seem comfortable and good quality, but everything else is wrong for me. There is some prominent distressing on the front right thigh that is not shown in the photos. Unfortunately I somehow missed the other review about that, so adding mine. The fit is also odd. I sized down one size and the waist still has a huge gap. The waist fits if I sag them down to my hips, but the crotch then bags uncomfortably since the denim is so rigid. The wash is brighter than pictured, too. I expected something with a uniformly faded look, but these have that tiger stripe look over the hips. I am 5'3" and purchased the regular inseam, and that length works perfectly for me. Not for someone shorter without cuffing.

November 12, 2021I got these in 31P. It is loose, but not overly slouchy since it's a slim boyfriend. I love the wash so much that I decided to get it in 30P for a snug fit.

True denim
November 10, 2021My first purchase of denim from J. Crew and I was really impressed. These are a true denim with no stretch but extremely comfortable. The waist is not super high and the fit is on the larger side. I am usually a size 25 in jeans and based on reviews I purchased the 24R. The length is perfect, right to the ankle. The leg is a bit loose on me but not too much. I am 100 lbs. and 5'4" inches tall so things don't always fit "perfectly". A really good deal and I have a feeling these are going to age beautifully!
