Great for the beach!
July 17, 2021I bought this for a beach vacation and I’m SO glad I did. I’m even more glad that I trusted my instinct/ read the reviews and went a size down. I’m a 5’4 curvy girl and typically wear a size 16/XL. I read the other reviews saying the fit was baggy and was concerned the XL would just make me look big. The large fits just right. The arm holes aren’t too big and the shoulders fit perfectly. The bottom is a little snug, but it accentuates my curves. I can also wear this as a kimono with skinny jeans underneath. Very versatile and great linen fabric!

Just may be the perfect summer dress!
June 23, 2021The fabric is perfect: soft, mid-weight, not sheer. Cut is slightly oversized, just enough to look current, but doesn’t overwhelm my small frame. The length (on me) is lower calf, elegant and elongating; mid-calf midis look frumpy on me. I bought the blue/white stripe and the black one. Two very different vibes, love both! I’m 4’11”, 92lbs, and the XXS is perfect. Yes, the armholes are large, but seems to be a design element. A lacy bandeau bra or a bralette adds modesty and looks less like ‘underwear’ showing. The side slits, button front, and deep armholes will let in breezes on hot summer days, while the extended shoulders protect from sunburn. Timeless, practical, comfortable, stylish, and flattering!

Sizing has changed-too big
June 22, 2021Beautiful linen fabric and quality of construction, but overall fit is much larger than previous JCrew size XS items. Arm holes came halfway down to my waist, while the waist of the dress and belt fell at my true waist. I am not sure what actual person is proportioned like this.

lovely dress, great fabric
June 21, 2021I'm 5'4", 126, 34B and bought the XS and overall fit was good, maybe little on the big side. The fabric is great, not see through and the white/blue combo is lovely. The arm holes are a little big on me, occasionally you can see the side of my bra but nothing terrible. (If I went smaller, not sure the hips would fit as comfortably.)The length is on the longer side of midi on me but the various slits and buttons make it comfortable and easy to wear. Nice quality.
