I love a crisp, cotton, short-sleeved button down in summer to make me feel put-together and look classy in an instant. I was skeptical about this shirt (not a fan of cropped tops) and I had to order one size up because my size (6) was sold out in black. I’m tall and slender (5’ 8.5” and 130 lbs with athletic shoulders) so I never know what’s the best size if I can’t actually try a shirt on before purchasing. When it arrived, here’s what stood out: well-made, ever-so-slightly oversized black buttons (on the black shirt), 2 extra buttons provided, short and boxy, but still feminine. It looks modern with a classic, retro vibe and I love it. It can just barely be tucked into high rise bottoms or left untucked for an airy and casual look. I could’ve easily fit into a 6 (the shoulders are surprisingly roomy), but the 8 still looks fine since it’s a wide and boxy cut anyway. Glad I took a chance and got it on sale too.
