Meh top bought on sale
January 31, 2026Fit is odd -- tight in the chest, loose at the armpits, very wide at the waist, and too short in the front. I bought this top in the same color as the bottoms I purchased a few months ago, and I will likely wear the two pieces together. Bought it on sale, so will keep. If I had paid full price, I would return.

Major shrinkage after washing
January 19, 2026I wore this top once and liked it a lot. The cropped fit was just right around my belly button and worked well with high waisted pants. Sadly I can never wear it again after washing it. I followed the instruction label perfectly (cold gentle, tumble dry low) and it shrunk at least 3 inches. It now hits halfway up my midriff, a completely different kind of crop top. Totally useless to me and it was final sale. Usually I like J Crew linen, but I won’t be buying it again.

Great top. Size down.
December 13, 2025I am short and curvy - 5’3” with a US 34H bust (UK size 34FF). The Medium fit perfectly. I was afraid that it would be too wide or boxy, but it fits closer to the body than what you see on the model. It’s more of a straight fit the stops at the waist. Perfect with high waist pants.

True Crop Top - above belly button on 5'2
December 11, 2025The item itself is of great quality. I love J.Crew's linen items, and I bought all three colors of this top! I didn't realize HOW CROPPED it actually is. Being 5 ' 2 and seeing how it fit the 5'11 model, I thought it should hit at minimum the same spot- but it is above my belly button!

Adorable, loose tank
November 30, 2025Ordered this top to go with a linen skirt I have and they go together perfectly! The shirt is very cute and a good quality linen fabric. I love the square neck (though not bra friendly, or at least not with the bras I have). While I like the cropped length, the shirt is cut so boxy that the top gets a lot of movement, which can expose midriff or chest (esp if you bend over). I think it would have been better if the top were more close-fitting...
