Button-up midi skirt in vintage plaid

When I received this yesterday, it reminded me of those J.Crew days of the past because of the quality overall including the waistline inside that has support to stay at the waist and not turnaround while wearing. Length is midi perfect. A very nice weight cotton to carry into Fall, non see thru as well. Top notch item indeed! Even at full price this skirt was worth it to me.

The colors are bright and cheery, and the shape is perfect on us pear shaped ladies. For reference, my waist is a four (27 in) and my hips are a solid eight (39 in). I am typically a size 6 in most items, so that is what I ordered. I should have ordered a four - stick to your waist size on this one! There is no stretch in the waistband, but there is a fullness to the skirt that has a vintage feel and plenty of hip room without exaggerating the issue. Lengthwise, the entire bottom panel falls below my knees, making this a true midi skirt. (5' 6") The material is not see through, so no slip needed, but there is room for a petticoat if so desired. I wear mine with a little cropped cardigan and some flats, but a cute t-shirt and belt would make it a perfect summer 'on-the-go' look.

Beautifully made and true to size. The colors are vibrant and the material is a nice crisp cotton. The pink grosgrain ribbon inset at the waist is a nice finish. The fit is true- but hides any flaws. Will be great for brunch.

This is a versatile skirt in fit and looks. Makes me feel so ladylike and put together. The white top stitching around the bottom is a nice touch that pops against the pink and green. Bought my usual size 4 in skirts and was quite pleased with the fact that it hid the little pooch! Pockets are a plus as well.

This is a very cute and comfortable skirt. The pink and green plaid fabric looks great. I will pair with a green shell and green sandals. I ordered my usual 12 and the fit is perfect.

I was so excited for this skirt. Unfortunately I've ordered it twice and both times it was way too big. I am usually an XXL or 2X in Jcrew and ordered the 20 and 18 and both were swimming on me. I'm afraid to order a 16 because the size chart in the waist jumps from a 35 to 38 and I'm right in the middle. I tried to belt the 18 and it bunched up. .Oh and I also ordered the matching popover shirt thinking that may be cute but despite having the same pattern the different fabrics made it look weird. this is getting returned.
