From excitement to extreme disappointment
September 22, 2026I was excited to finally get both white and black in my regular size, XS, of this beautiful, unusual cover up. They sold out quickly all summer. After gentle wash in laundry bag, cool water and gentle Laundress detergent the lace sides buckled. The material wrinkles very easily making it labor intensive for a cover up which I typically consider low maintenance garments but worth it if side lace had stayed smooth. Ironing doesn’t help buckling. I’ve tried laying flat and hanging to dry without improvement. Now the drape is horrible and they can’t be returned since I’ve washed/remove tags. At $150 each for a very sheer minimal garment I’m extremely disappointed.
