Slim vintage oxford shirt

Slim vintage oxford shirt is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Wardrobe Staple I buy a lot of j.crew button downs...like, a lot of them. Overall they all fit well, and the slim fit is great if you're on the thinner or more athletic build side. I have found that some shirts are made w/ better material than others, and this is one of the good ones. Mostly wrinkle free out of the dryer. Soft but still feels strong, like it will last many wearings. Classic look to wear w/ dark jeans or chinos, under a sweater or untucked. Probably also looks cool with shorts and rolled up sleeves, I'll let you know when this Boston winter subsides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An essential item Oxford shirts (especially in light blue or white) are a classic, ubiquitous shirt. It's an essential item for those who prefer their casual wear to be more than just a t-shirt and J.Crew separates itself from other stores by creating a pretty high-quality shirt at an affordable price (aka, when there's a 30% off sale). I've enjoyed the classic white and light blue ones that I picked up so much that I went ahead and purchased some more vibrant colors from the tonal cotton selection. Looking forward to seeing what new colors are for sale in Spring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wardrobe Workhorse Although I usually wait until something goes on sale, I made an exception for this shirt. The color is perfect - slightly darker than in the pictures - as is the fit, and oxford cloth only gets better with time. The collar is too narrow for a tie, but is the perfect length for a no-tie look. A beefy collar would look out of place on this shirt. If you're slim, buy one (or several). You won't regret it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just One Flaw The shirt is fantastic -excellent fabric and wash makes this shirt very comfortable. Wear it with chinos and denim, and pair it with a sport coat and tie; but I would recommend a tie of wool or a cotton/silk knit, and if you're not afraid of too many up-tight fashion police, I think a bow-tie of that same fabric also looks great. With that said, the only complaint I have would be the cuffs. The shirt is obviously made to accommodate the taller guy with a long sleeve; but while leaving off the second button may clean up the shirt, it makes it that much more important to get that cuff size just right, or it's going to look sloppy on a guy like myself who is a 34 inch sleeve. Even on my watch hand, the excess is very noticeable, especially when my arm is resting on a table or desk; and when my arm simply hangs down, the cuff almost flares out. Luckily, I am not too shabby with a needle and thread, and have resorted to adjusting the button location about 3/8" inward.
