Product Details

We went to Connecticut's storied American Woolen Company mill (est. 1899) to find the refined, year-round-weight wool for our updated Ludlow Legacy blazer, and we made it with the quality construction our Ludlows are famous for, but with a lighter, partial lining to increase breathability and keep you comfortable all year round. We also swapped the typical brass buttons for our elegant Ludlow buttons, used a topstitching detail instead of pickstitching (so it's a little more casual but still polished) and gave it a partial Bemberg lining to make it easier to take on and off. If you only have one blazer, it should be this one.

Ludlow Legacy blazer in American wool is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even better than the last version If I had it all to do over again, I wouldn't own both. But I liked the redo of the Legacy so much, I now have the last version *and* the new one. This is a more ''blazery'' version in hue and texture. I think this one will have wider appeal than the last one -- and the last one was pretty great. This iteration has more versatility. The old one had more of a formal feel, with its midnight-blue/near black color and finer fabric. The latest take on this jacket is an excellent addition to my Ludlow "repertoire."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Go-To Blazer My wife bought me this as a gift and I was really blown away by the quality and the fit. It's the perfect blazer for pretty much every use that I have. The fabric feels and looks really high-end and not having the same brass buttons gives this an extra "cool" factor. If it came in other colors I would buy another (hint-hint, JCrew).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it! keep your money. To be fairly honest with you the Blazer is not worth buying J.Crew has a lot of nerve asking so much for this poorly constructed Blazer you'll be better off buying a custom-made blazer for this price point sure the wool fabric it's nice but the inter construction is made of glued polyester lining instead of the traditional horsehair construction J crew decided to cut corners if that's not a problem for you then good luck.^__^
