Product Details

We feel no guy should go without a properly made pair of selvedge chinos. Selvedge is a nod to the early 19th century, when fabric was woven on narrow looms and the edges were sewn together to create a "self edge" that helped prevent fraying (a colored thread was often incorporated to help the mill tell fabrics apart). It's hard to elevate your chino game any higher than with selvedge, but we found a way: This pair is made from natural, unprocessed cotton that's woven in Japan and has visible flecks of seeds and husks for some extra character.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Softer than the khakis. I am the proud owner of both Wallace & Barnes selvedge chinos, and here's what I have to say about them. They are not the same trouser in two different colors. Although the construction is the same, the khakis are a lot stiffer which makes them fit better. The white fabric is a lot more supple, and calls for machine washing, whereas the khakis are hand wash only. The khakis or more of a work pant, the whites are more of a dress casual lounge garment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love this selvedge chino had 28/32 when it on sale, good value for the money, but except one thing the belt loop is incredibly narrow(less than 4cm) that i can only use my dress belt. kind of weird.
