Original Chippewa® for J.Crew plain-toe Renegade boots

Original Chippewa® for J.Crew plain-toe Renegade boots is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid & Stylish The previous reviews had me rather wary on purchasing these boots due to the concerns with the insole or lack thereof, but I must say that these boots fit like a glove right out of the box. While it does not have a padded insole, it is far from uncomfortable. These boots have been comfortable to wear all day, especially with thick socks. The tan renegade coloring and aged look give the boot a distinguished and time-tested appearance, especially when combined with subtle elements like the brass speedhooks. Love these boots and would certainly buy another pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality boot Great looking style and leather, color is more brown than tan. Took advice of other reviews about running slightly large and ordered my normal shoe size, 10H, great fit with a thicker pair of socks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boot For Any Occasion This is a great boot, from the fit to the color. I wear this boot more for fashion and for riding around on my motorcycle so I like the fit to be more on the fitted side. I wear a size 10 in Nike and New Balance 574, a size 9 in my Red Wing Iron Rangers so I went with a 9 in this boot and it fits perfectly. The leather is more supple than my Iron Rangers so there was practically zero break in time and I am able to fit, comfortably, some cushioned crew socks. Now if you're going to use this boot as an actual work boot or if you live where it is colder more days than not then only size down half a size so you're able to fit those thicker socks. You will not be disappointed if you buy these boots!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs small item is different than picture I just received these boots in the mail and listened to the advice of other shoppers to order a 1/2 size down. The boot fits in length but is very very narrow (I do have wide feet). Also this collaboration is supposed to be designed slightly different for J.Crew with the hooks at the top for laces instead of holes to thread through (apologies I do not know the correct terminology). If you go the Chippewa's website and view this boot, that is the boot I received not the custom J.Crew version which is disappointing. Definitely going to contact customer service and see what they can do but the 1/2 size larger is already sold out so it will probably be a return. Bummer!
