Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lovely print poor quality Beautiful silk skirt. Got a ton of compliments when I wore it. However, the quality is not what is expected of a J Crew Collection piece. I wore it once and the seams are coming apart. Every time I sat down, I heard a ripping noise. I was so afraid it would tear on the first wear. Yet again, J Crew scarifies quality for the sake of price!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from where did J CREW quality trade mark go? Another disappointment - yes, the pattern and the colors are pretty. And that's abut it! I have sateen/silk/brocade J Crew pencil skirts from years ago - neither the fit, nor the fabric quality match them... For a collection skirt - the fabric is thiner than fabric for a silk shirt. That said, the lining is even thiner. As others mentioned already - the fit is awkward - wide waist, narrow hips.... Cheaper production does not make happy customers. Returning.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bummed Very disappointed with this skirt as it is very awkward in the sizing. I'm a size 8 in J. Crew skirts but always size up to a size 10 for the Collection skirts as they all seem to run small. The waist on this skirt is very large, but the hips are small and it is shaped more like an A-line skirt. I'm pretty straight in my hips and when I put the skirt on, it was so tight in the hips I could barely slide it on. The waist was huge! The fabric is SUPER thin and there is no give since it's silk with an inner lining. I was shocked with the fabric too. Since it's almost paper thin, it doesn't seem durable, at all! The pattern and color are beautiful! The sizing is more and more inconsistent within J. Crew.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful design This is a beautiful pattern! Alas I will be returning this skirt because it just doesn't go over my hips :( But worth it if the fit is right for your body.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun Color I am 5' 8" and and usually wear a 2 or a 4 in JCrew pencil skirts. I agree that the sizing is off a bit in that the waist is a tad 'small' on me but the hips are fine. Until the last year or two, JCrew pencil skirts have been perfect for me because they were straight, not smaller at the waist. Pencil skirts were not traditionally for women with curves-smaller waists and larger hips. That's why this skirt isn't fitting other reviewers. This one is isn't quite back to the original cut, but it's getting there. Fingers crossed that more of the older cut return. I do wish they offered it in tall. I kept it and get so many compliments on it. It looks great with any of the many French Blue tops offered this year, including the one in the picture. The fabric is silk and is as expected.
