Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Skirt- Runs Long Tried on this skirt at the madison avenue collection store and it is really cute but runs very long - i'm 5'7" and will need to get it tailored. I thought the fabric and the style was really wonderful - especially considering the price. More lux fabric this skirt would be at least $500!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovin' This Skirt! The Collection Tartan Maxi Skirt from the recent roll out is a gem. This was one of my favorite items from the December style guide. Believe there are multiple styling options & I agree that the price is very reasonable. Some people aren't a fan of the fabric (i.e. scratchy or rough), but not really an issue for me. It's very long. I'm over 5.8. & had it hemmed to wear with heels. I sized up 1 (usually do that with Collection) but could've gone with my normal size. Received multiple compliments. Will wear this quite a bit during fall/wtr. Thomas Mason Mandarin Collar tuxedo shirt works great by tying in the front. A casual look works too as I also styled it similar to what's in the December Style Guide. The St. James slouchy tee works well with the skirt for a little patten mixing. The wide stripe belt that's now on sale & Elsie stripe bow pumps finish the look.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful cut, but horrible length and fabric The cut of this skirt (high waist, a line) is really gorgeous. That said, as others have stated, I would have liked to see more wool here and the length is just insane! I'm 5'9" and even with high heels, I have inches of fabric on the floor. I'm still thinking about whether or not to keep it but will probably just have it hemmed because I find the design to be so unique and I'm in a tartan phase (I think it's pretty classic and I plan on pulling this out a lot this winter and into early spring).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So truly disappointed No. Just no. The waist was true to size, but, you would have to be an Amazon to wear it as it arrives in the box - and I am 5'9" tall. I put on my heels and still tripped over the hem. The material was nothing like I imagined. I thought it would be lovely and it was sub par - so stiff and cold feeling - nowhere near the cozy and classy winter staple I was hoping for. Returning.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ROUGH Fabric This maxi skirt is 55% polyester, 45% wool, lined in polyester. Why is a collection item leading with polyester? The fabric is very rough!!! It is definitely not worth full price. I know that most would limit this to November/December for the holidays. However, I would wear this in January and February as well. There are so many styling possibilities. It runs TTS. You could also size down 1 size due to the fullness of the skirt. I'm 5'4" and this skirt drags the ground by several inches. A 3" heel makes the length more manageable. I like it; but..... I am on the fence about keeping this due to the quality of the fabric. Had this been 100% wool, there would be no issue.
