Brooklyn-based The Hill-Side®, run by two brothers, is known for its workwear-inspired goods that stand the test of time. These high-tops are a unique interpretation of rain boots, featuring a waterproof yet breathable cotton upper, a tongue designed to keep water out, a high-traction outsole and a reinforced rubber toe guard and side panel. As with all The Hill-Side sneakers, these shoes are made by highly skilled craftspeople in a beautiful 140-year-old factory in western Japan. They're sewn and assembled completely by hand, and are produced using a traditional vulcanization process that employs natural rubber the factory processes in-house.
