Trouser pencil skirt in duchesse satin

I ordered two sizes up because the reviews indicated it runs small and based on size chart. It is enormous. BUT I think it’s lovely so I bought it again in a different size. I do wish JCrew sizing had some semblance of consistency. For example a size 12 in this skirt was huge on me and two dresses, each size 10 that I bought fit differently, one is too large the other is snug in the waist. I also bought the camisole it is paired with which is lovely and based on reviews I went up a size and I need to shorten the straps to make it fit right, but again lovely. I love this skirt it looks like Carolyn bessette Kennedy. I am usually a 6 and it is true to size. Such a staple and great quality.

I really like this skirt. It is simple, but elevated with a satiny feel. Feels a bit dressy, but you can also dress it down too. Getting it on sale is even better!

I love the fabric. It is very soft and silky. It fits perfect. I sized down to 0. I’m 5.3, 115 lbs and usually wear 2.

The skirt was too long as I am only 5’1.

The fabric feels both thick and delicate, which wasn’t quite what I expected. I’d recommend going up one size from your usual J.Crew pencil skirt size. I’ll be returning mine for that reason.
